I graduated as a Physiotherapist from the University of Brighton in 2008, where I later returned to pursue a postgraduate MSc in Sports Injuries Management. My career as a Physiotherapist has been mainly in the private sector, working previously at ESPH, East Dulwich & Village Physiotherapy, Farnborough. I have also worked for Westminster PCT as a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist within a CMATS acute triage service.

In 2009 I decided to further my skill set by pursuing a Master’s degree in Osteopathy at the London School of Osteopathy. I graduated in 2013 and now enjoy amalgamating these skills within my treatment repertoire, providing a more comprehensive and holistic treatment approach to my patients.

My area of specialism is injury prevention and rehabilitation via exercise to optimise posture and performance. I am passionate about the biomechanical analysis of movement and the use of exercise to correct dysfunction movement patterns – often the main cause of musculoskeletal pain & injury. I have a background in Personal Training with Advanced Level 3 NVQ qualifications in both Corrective Exercise (injury prevention) and Exercise for the Older Adult awarded by the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM).

In addition, I have a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in Pilates from the Pilates Institute and specialise in Pilates for those recovering from injury. I work with a wide range of medical conditions but I have a particular interest in sports injuries, back and neck pain, pre and post natal care (specifically working to strengthen the pelvic floor muscles) and the management of scoliosis and hypermobility.

I now teach Pilates at David Lloyd, Kings Hill but personal trained and taught a variety of classes at Sidcup & Dartford David Lloyd and Nuffield Health Chistlehurst for many years before the birth of my children.

I have worked within the fitness industry for 20 years, predominantly as a Personal Trainer and Aerobics Instructor. A self-confessed “Gym Bunny”, I admit to living in the gym prior to the birth of my children and can therefore sympathise with any injured exercise enthusiasts! I have taught a range of fitness classes including Group Cycling (Spinning), Bodypump, Bodybalance, Bodyattack, CXWorx™, body conditioning and Pilates.

I have a personal interest in weight training and bodybuilding. In June 2014 I competed in the Bikini Class of Miss Galaxy Universe Competition after months of training and strict nutrition. I hope to return to competing one day but I’m currently focusing on my young family – I’m a mum of 3 under 6!

My Philosophy

Physiotherapy, Osteopathy & Pilates

I'm dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation of musculoskeletal (bone, muscle, nerve, disc, tendon, ligament) problems and sporting/traumatic injuries. In addition to the hands on treatment I provide, my core principle is the use of rehabilitative and preventative exercise to improve the way you move and keep you pain free.

By looking at your posture and bio-mechanics (the way you move) I can identify and correct the root cause of the problem as well as treating your symptoms. This results in more permanent symptom relief allowing you to return to work, sport and the activities you love quicker and with a reduced occurrence of re-injury.
